Peewee LL team shutouts out Brussels/Blyth in League play
The Mitchell Legion Peewee LL Meteors put in a great showing shutting out the Brussels/Blyth Crusaders in League play

In a fast paced, tight checking first period, Ryan Hubbard opened the scoring for the visiting Meteors with a heater of a clapper from the slot to make it 1-0 Mitchell.  It would stay that way for the rest of the period.

In the second, it would be much of the same fast paced, tight checking but Jake Crowley would put the locals up 2-0 with a wrist shot from the point on the powerplay.  Mitchell would finish the period up by a score of 2-0.

After the flood, the boys came to play once again.  Jaxon Hartwig would finish off a great passing play with Zack Bilyea to put the Mitchell squad up 3-0.  A few minutes later Colby Ryan put on a stick handling display and tucked the puck past the goalie on a highlight reel goal with and assist from Wade Campbell to make it 4-0.  Hubbard would put the game a way at 5-0 with his second of the game.  Ethan Dearing put in his best game of the year to date by standing on his head to give the team a shutout.

The boys are looking good going into Goderich on Sunday afternoon!
