Dietrich Hat Trick Leads Meteors
Submitted By Jeanette Redfern on Saturday, November 24, 2018
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE Meteors travelled to Arthur on Saturday afternoon and would come away with a big victory over the Vipers. The Meteors would dominate the play for most of the game, winning battles for the puck and making great passes.

Jack Miller would open the scoring for the Meteors half-way through the first period with a great bar down shot. Bryce Otten would make the score 2-0 after good passing in the offensive zone from Carter O'Brien. In the second period, Jacob Dietrich would use his speed to burst past the Viper defenders and beat the Vipers goalie with pin-point perfection twice on the same shift. Lucas Mahon would assist on Deitrich's first goal and Miller would assist on both. Arthur would answer with a goal of their own before the end of the period.

The Meteors would break the game wide open in the third with four goals. Dietrich would get his third of the game on an assist from Mahon. Also scoring in the third period were Preston Porter, Grayson Yost and Mahon with a rocket fired from the blue line. Brock Boville and Porter would get the assists. The Meteors would take the game with a final score of 8-3.
