Tough Loss In Semi-Finals For The PeeWee AE Meteors
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE Meteors faced a strong Lambeth Lancers team on Sunday morning at the Bob Tansley Memorial Tournament in Tillsonburg. Despite solid play by the Meteors, they would suffer a disappointing 5-1 loss to end their tournament in the semi-final round.

The Lancers would open the scoring in the first period as the Meteors had a difficult time clearing the puck from their end with heavy pressure from their opponent. Early in the second period, strong hustle by Jack Miller, resulted in him pushing his way through the Lancers defence to make a perfect cross-ice pass to Carter O'Brien who would not miss and put the Meteors on the board.

The Meteors would put forth a fierce effort, but would not be able to beat the Lancers strong defence, and they would take the game with a final score of 5-1. The player of the game for Mitchell was goalie Joel Meinen, who played a strong game and continued to wow with his quick glove saves.

The PeeWee AE's look forward to playing next in the 63rd Annual Mitchell PeeWee Tournament next weekend.
