PeeWee AE's Tie BCH in Pre-Season Action
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE's completed their exhibition season with a 2-2 tie Saturday afternoon in Clinton. The short-handed Meteors put in a solid effort as they get ready for their regular season opener next weekend in Arthur.
The hometown Ice Dogs opened the scoring and would take a 1-0 lead into the second period. Early in the second Blake Redfern would win a battle along the boards in the offensive zone and get the puck to Noah Mann who cut in all alone on the BCH goalie and would even the score bar down.
BCH would take the lead again, but Ethan Meinen would finish the scoring in the third period for the visitors. Meinen would be left alone close to the opposition crease and he would patiently out wait the Ice Dog goalie and then bulge the twine to the goalie's glove side with another high-skilled goal for the Meteors.
It was a great effort by the entire team that was highlighted by some great close-in saves by Meteors goalie Keegan Meinen and outstanding hustle by Jacob Dietrich.
