Peewee Reps Eliminated From OMHA Playoffs
The Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps failed to advanced past the second round of OMHA Peewee 'B' Playoffs, falling to the Saugeen Shores Storm 3-2 in OT on the road on Saturday followed by a 6-2 loss on Sunday in Mitchell.

In Port Elgin on Saturday, the Meteors built a 2-0 lead after two periods on a pair of goals by Vincent Voros, with Josh French drawing an assist on the second marker.  With less than five minutes remaining in the game, Saugeen Shores struck for two quick goals in less than a minute to tie the game 2-2.  Mitchell drew a hooking penalty with 43 seconds remaining in the game, thus having to start the overtime period shorthanded against a rested Saugeen top line, who promptly ended the game with a powerplay goal 36 seconds into the extra frame.
The opponents returned to Mitchell on Sunday for the do-or-die Game 4 for the Meteors, who once again scored first early with an opening goal by Jarrett Van Bakel assisted by Caleb Templeman and Jared Vosper.  Seemingly getting stronger as the game went on, the Saugeen offense suddenly went to work midway through the second period with three goals in a span of slightly more than two minutes to take a commanding 3-1 lead.  Defenseman Lucas Roobroeck went end-to-end for an unassisted goal less than a minute later, and the teams went into the final period with Saugeen hanging onto a 3-2 lead.  The Meteors ran out of gas, giving up three more goals in the third for a 6-2 final.
Best of luck to Saugeen Stores Storm as they move on to represent the WOAA and face the winner of Parry Sound and Ennismore!
