Peewee Reps Finalists in Twin Centre Tournament
The Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps reached the finals of the Twin Centre Tournament in Wellesley / St. Clements this weekend, dropping a 5-3 decision to the champion Petrolia Oilers in the final.

Vincent Voros opened the scoring in the final game late in the first period with an unassisted shorthanded goal, seconds after the Meteors had killed the first of two penalties in a 5-on-3.  Petrolia answered back quickly with two quick goals within 20 seconds to take a 2-1 lead after the first.  Despite playing their third game of the day, Petrolia continued to press hard, adding two more goals to take a 4-1 lead.  Brandon Dietrich would score from Kyle Mills, and Caleb Templeman's shot from the point set up by Jarrett Van Bakel found the far corner to narrow the deficit to 4-3 midway through the final period.  The Meteors continued to battle hard for the tying goal, with several close chances including a hard shot from Brayden Glauser that hit the crossbar.  Petrolia would seal the victory with an empty net goal with 2 seconds left on the clock.
The locals opened tournament on Friday evening against Oro, who earlier that evening had defeated the host Twin Centre Stars.  Voros once again kickstarted the offense, scoring early into the game assisted by Van Bakel and James McCarthy.  Dietrich would add an unassisted effort in the opening frame, and Glauser, Josh French, and McCarthy would all score in the second period.  Glauser added his second of the game midway through the third to round out the scoring.  Mills, Jared Vosper, Kellen Russwurm, Dietrich, and Terpstra all had single assists and Hayden Beuermann would post the shutout in the 6-0 victory.
Beuermann would backstop the Meteors to a second consecutive shutout win on Saturday night, defeating Drayton by a score of 7-0.  Voros recorded a hat trick and Glauser notched a pair of goals, with singles scored by Mills and Dietrich.  Mills led with two assists.
Next up on Sunday morning was the undefeated semi-final game, as the Meteors would face Petrolia in their first meeting of the tournament, coming out on top 3-2 with Voros netting the game-winner from Mills with one minute left in regulation play.  Mills and Van Bakel also scored during the game, with additional assists recorded by Dietrich and Terpstra.  The win put Mitchell right into the finals on Sunday afternoon, with Petrolia forced to play an additional semi-final game vs BCH to earn their berth into the finals for a rematch.
