Atom Girls Start Second Half Off With Win
Having been reseeded for the remainder of the regular season based on performance, the Paul Van Gerwen Sun Life Meteor Atom Girls opened their second half schedule with a 4-0 road shutout of the Sarnia Lady Sting on November 10th.
Emma Groenestege opened the scoring halfway through the first period, assisted by Abigayle Van Bakel, which proved to be the game-winning goal. After a scoreless middle frame, the Meteors would add three more goals in the last three minutes, beginning with Ava Harmer and Van Bakel each scoring unassisted. Tegan Mace would add a goal in the final minute, assisted by Rylee Kipfer. Alissa Insley earned the shutout in net.
