The Walkom's Valu-Mart Atom Reps just couldn't catch a break Thursday night. The boys fought a hard battle against the Kincardine Kinucks in game 2 of Silver Stick in Wingham.
It was a quick first period. Kincardine took a 1-0 lead, but the boys were skating hard, making passes and setting up plays.
The Meteors kept the pressure on in the second. Ethan Jarmuth went coast to coast and fired one away top corner to tie the game 1-1. With only 10 seconds left in the period, Kincardine managed to sneak one in on a power play to take back the lead.
The boys played a great game, but couldn't catch a break in a 2-1 loss to Kincardine. The boys will seek their revenge (and the parents will choose their seats wisely) when we face off against the Kinucks again next Friday on home ice.
