Bill Batten Memorial Tournament - Exeter
It was a tough weekend for black and yellow as the Walkom's Valu-Mart Atom Reps came away from the Bill Batten Memorial Tournament in Exeter with a tie and two losses.

The team faced off against the Lambeth Lancers Friday afternoon.  They were down 1-0 after the first, but the boys were keeping the pressure on and defense were holding the zone.  It was the opportune time for a line change when Ethan Jarmuth stepped off the bench and was fed the perfect pass from Ryan Klumper leading to a breakaway goal and quite the celly afterwards!  Carter Miller made it look easy between the pipes making save after save and keeping the boys in the game.  Hard work from the Meteors held the Lancers at bay, but the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

Saturday morning brought the boys up against Mt. Brydges Cougars.  A tough match, we were down 4-0 going into the third when Bryce Dixon assisted a beauty goal by Charlie Wolfe and shortly after, Max Hannon assisted Jarmuth for the 2nd and final goal.  The game ended in a 6-2 loss for the Meteors.

The third and final game of the tourney was versus the hosting team, South Huron Sabres.  Down by one going into the second, Logan Verberne scored, assisted by Klumper to tie it up 1-1.  The Meteors were down 2-1 in the third, but started fighting back when Ryan Glauser stole the puck at the red line for a breakaway goal to tie it up.  Unfortunately the squad couldn't rally for the win and ended up losing 4-2.
