Victory for Novice C Girls Over Mount Forest
On Saturday, The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice C Girls played the Mount Forest for the first time this season.
The game started with some back and forth play in the first period which eventually ended with no scoring taking place.
There were many more chances in the second period. Some noteworthy events were a breakaway run by Phoebe Wood who was stopped by the Rams netminder, as well as Alise Crawford with multiple rebound chances in tight quarters on the Rams goalie. The second period ended the same as the first with no scoring.
The scale tipped in the Meteors favor in the third period with a nice pass from Phoebe Wood to Kayla Visneskie who potted the first goal of the game. With the Rams goalie pulled, the Meteors felt the pressure with the Rams having an extra attacker. Crawford would get one last shot on the Rams net from the opposite end of the rink, but came up just wide.
Elyn Hannon played well in net, stopping every shot sent her way to earn the shutout victory.
