Shootout Marks the end of Pink on the Rink Tournament For Novice C Girls
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice C Girls participated in the Pink on the Rink tournament over the weekend and had a great time.

The Novice Girls faced Woodstock in Game 1. It was a much tougher match than the last time the two teams met. The novices played well, but eventually faced the 6-0 loss that ended their first game.  Netminder Selina Gethke played well in net stopping many shots.  Kinslee Horan earned the game MVP for her strong skating throughout the game.

Heading into Game 2 against league leader Lucan Irish, the girls had their work cut out for them.  While most of the play was in the Meteors end, they held Lucan to just one goal in the first period.  Things changed in the second as Lucan would add three more goals in the second.  The Meteors had great chance to get on the scoreboard by Alise Crawford on a breakaway, but came up short.  Lucan added three more goals in the third to end the game 7-0.  Game MVP went to goaltender Ellie MacArthur for stopping many chances.

Game 3 was the most exciting game of the tournament.  The girls played West Oxford in a very close match.  Amelia Wolfkamp was in perfect position to grab the first goal of the game from a rebound shot by MacArthur. West Oxford responded in the second period to tie the game at one.  As time was running out, Alise Crawford snuck in a buzzer beater assisted by Macarthur to end the second period.  West Oxford tied the game at 2 to end the third period to force the game to a shootout.  First up was MacArthur.  The fans on the edge of their seats weren't sure which end to watch, but anyone watching MacArthur would see a beauty goal and anyone watching Gethke in net would see a beauty save. The girls took the lead. The next three shooters were Kayla Visneskie, Alise Crawford and Elyn Hannon, who all tried their best but came up short.  West oxford would get the last two goals to end the game with a 4-3 loss. Amelia Wolfkamp received the Game MVP.
