Novice C Girls Start Exhibition Play With First Win
The Novice C girls hosted the Startford Aces for the first exhibition game of the season. The girls defeated Stratford 11-0.
The game started out well matched, with few whistles in the first period. The Meteors would open the scoring with just under 4 minutes left in the first and respond with the 2nd goal coming just seconds later. The girls kept the pressure on and scored four more goals in the remaining two minutes of the period. The second period saw four more goals scored, and one lone goal in the third to finish off the game.
Selena Gethke would have 5 goals, Kayla Visneskie 3, Alise Crawford with 2, and Danica Voros with one. Assists on the game would go to Kinslee Horan, Avery Smith, Martyna Hartwig (2), Ally Vanbakel, and Alise Crawford. The Meteors defence played well and relied on excellent goaltending by Ellie MacArthur.
Excellent start to the season.
