Diary Queen Challenge cup
On friday Jan 4th The Dodge Caravan kids Novice LL2 team began the tournament in Exeter for the Dairy Queen Challenge cup at South Huron Recreaction Centre.

On Friday Jan 4th The Dodge Caravan Kids Mitchell Meteors LL2 team began the Dairy Queen Challenge Cup tournament in Exeter at South Huron Rec Center. It was a good fight for the boys but they never gave up and were able to sink some goals past the goal tender of The Aldermen Jets winning the game 3-2.
Saturday was a much tougher day for the team as they had to play 3 games in Huron Park. Saturday morning they started off the day facing a home team South Huron Sabres. working hard together as a team they finished the game with a 3-0 win. The second game that day was against Woolwich wildcats, with a lot of hard work, dedication and team spirit the boys won the game 5-1.
Continuing on that night the faced one of their hardest competition against our other home team Mitchell Novice LL1 team. Both teams hit the ice that night t battle for first and second place in the finals for sunday. Mitchell LL2 team was able to sink one goal past their goalie but wasn't enough and end the game with a 0-4 loss and taking second place going into the finals.
Sunday both teams started off the game fighting hard to stop any break aways and the hold a solid defence to assist their goaltenders. The Mitchell Meteors LL2 team did not give up there fought hard and work together as a team in all the moves and strategies which payed off finishing the game with a 4-1 win placing then Novice A champs in Dairy Queen challenge cup. Way to go boys was a great game to watch and all the coaches were proud of all their team work on the ice.
