Playoff Game Win
The Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 team went in to Saturday's playoff game with 1 win and 1 loss. They traveled to Listowel looking for another win.
The first period started out with lots of shots on net, with the Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 team putting the first goal on the scoreboard when Hayden DeJong took a nice pass from Sam McCarthy and snuck it past the Listowel goalie. The first period scoring continued with DeJong and McCarthy working together again to get the puck to Michael Coyne who netted it to make it a 2-0 lead. With 32 seconds left in the first period, Tyler Burtenshaw took a hard shot at the goalie then picked up his own rebound and put it in the back of the net. A second period goal from Weston Bannon assisted by Greg McKay and Mason Hoegy, put the lead at 4-0. There were more scoring chances in the third period and some great saves by Mitchell goalie Carter Harris to earn a shutout and the the 4-0 win.
The Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Mitchell LL1 Team will be traveling to Seaforth on Monday night for their next playoff game.
