Big Win to end Regular Season
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 team came out to win on Sunday against the visiting Seaforth team for their last regular season game. Fans were on the edge of their seats with all the end to end action and scoring opportunities. These boys showcased what they have learnt this season with great teamwork, offensive and defensive play, and outstanding goaltending.
The first period was full of action, but the Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 team and Seaforth team both remained scoreless. In the second period, Tyler Verberne carried the puck into the opposing team's end and netted one to take the lead. This game the team the motivation they needed and a second goal followed late in the period from Mason Hoegy, assisted by Verberne and Hayden DeJong. The lone goal in the third period was for the Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 Mitchell team when a scramble in front of the net resulted in a goal for Greg McKay. Carter Harris kept Seaforth from getting on the scoreboard with great goaltending. The final score of 3-0 was a great way to end the regular season.
Playoffs start on Wednesday night with game #1 against Listowel White.
