Hoegy, Burtenshaw 2 goals each for win!
The Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL 1 team met up against Listowel Black on Wednesday night. The whole team played hard, but it was Mason Hoegy and Tyler Burtenshaw that did all the scoring.
The Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL 1 team took the lead early on when Mason Hoegy scored an unassisted goal to show the visiting Listowel team that they were there to win. Hoegy, assisted by Tyler Verberne, scored the next one as he bounced the puck over the goalie's stick. Tyler Burtenshaw went in alone and snuck one past the Listowel goalie to end the 1st period with a 3-0 lead. There were a few chances for both teams in the second period, but the Dodge Caravan Kids LL 1 team held on to their 3-0 lead. Carter Harris got in front of a hard shot, but Listowel ended up on the scoreboard. Burtenshaw answered back and got his second of the night, assisted by Deni Beaudin. Listowel scored again late in the 3rd. The final score was 4-2 for Mitchell.
The Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 get one night off then play this weekend in the DQ Challenge Cup in Exeter.
