Weekend split with 1 win, 1 loss
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL 1 team travelled to Ilderton on Friday night for an exhibition game. Saturday night they hosted the visiting BCH team in another exhibition game. Both were good games, with the boy's trying out some new positions, one game ending in a win and the other with a loss.

The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL 1 team opened up the scoring in Ilderton with Sam McCarthy netting one with assists from Michael Coyne and Hayden DeJong. Ilderton came back with a quick goal to tie it up. Mitchell dominated the game from then on with Tyler Verberne scoring twice. Assists went to Weston Bannon and Greg McKay (both goals). They second period started with a goal from McCarthy, assisted by Emmett Rolph and DeJong. DeJong and McKay got on the board again with a goal each, assists to Rolph, Bannon, and Verberne. The score remained at 6-1 until late in the third period when Sam McCarthy scored again for his hat trick! Coyne and Mason Hoegy assisted. Verberne closed out the scoring, assisted by McKay and Bannon, making the final score 8-1.
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL 1 team opened the scoring against BCH with a goal from Mason Hoegy, assisted by Sam McCarthy and Liam Baker. BCH retaliated with 2 goals in the second period. Baker, assisted by Emmett Rolph, snuck one past the BCH goalie to tie it up 2-2. BCH moved ahead with another goal. The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 team had a few close chances and a scramble in front of the visitors net, but couldn't sneak 1 through. The final score was 3-2for BCH. Carter Harris played some strong goaltending in both weekend games.
This weekend will be a busy one as the Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL1 team travel to Exeter to compete in the DQ Challenge Cup tournament.
