The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors Bantam LL continued their winning ways this past week defeating both Goderich and Lucknow.
The Meteors opened the week Sunday night against a Goderich team looking for some revenge after Mitchell defeated them the previous weekend in a the tournament final in Clinton. It was a chippy game throughout, with both teams taking a number of penalties.

The Meteors opened the scoring just three minutes in, on a goal from Jaden Faulkner assisted by Damen Roebroeck and Dominic Voros.  Goderich tied the score late in the first period.

Mitchell took the lead once more at the 11 minute mark of the second when Joey Adam scored from PJ Marshall and Roobroeck, and extended that lead to 2 just a minute late on a goal from Josh Duncan from Basil Voros and Coulter Rolph.  Goderich would score late in the second, but that would be as close as they would get as Mitchell scored two more in the third to pull away. The third period goals were from Duncan and Faulkner with assists to Will Steinbach and Brett Poirier.  Denzel Finlayson had a great game on defence for the Meteors and Maggie Phillips played extremely well in net for the win.

Mitchell travelled to Lucknow Wednesday to play the Sepoys.  Except for a 5 minute span at the end of the first period the Meteors completely dominated the game, outshooting Lucknow 39 to 13 for the game.

Mitchell scored the first three goals of the game in the first 7 minutes, with goals coming from Basil Voros, Brett Poirier and Will Steinbach, assists were from Kurtis De Jong, Braedon McLean and Poirier.  Lucknow came back to tie it scoring 3 goals in a five minute span late in the first period.

The Meteors got things turned back around to start the second period and were rewarded when PJ Marshall would score what would be the game winner at the 7 minute mark with assists from Poirier and Joey Adam.  Mitchell would then add 4 more to easily win the game.  Poirier would score two more for the hat trick, Coulter Rolph and Josh Duncan would add singles.  Assists went to Adam, Marshall, De Jong, Duncan and Dominic Voros.

Wade Monden and Austin Weir shared the win in net.
