PeeWee C girls are Going to Provincials!!!
The Ace Country & Garden PeeWee C girls victory tonight over the South Huron Sabres gave them the "green light" to go to the OWHA Provincials in April. Setting the pace with a goal a period was Jaelyn Meinen scoring in the first and the second assisted by Nicole Hahn and Alexis Insley. The Sabres found the net in the third bringing it to a 2-1 game. Keeping the pace Insley tucked one in with 6 minutes left in the third, giving the Meteors a 3-1 lead.
With 3:25 left on the clock the Sabres pulled their goalie knowing they needed a win to move on where the Meteors only needed a tie. South Huron found the net one last time with 51 seconds left in the game giving the Meteors the opportunity to head to Toronto for Provincials. Nice job girls!!
The girls play a league playoff game in Lucan tomorrow night who will also be strong contenders at provincials. Go Meteors!!
