A win, 2 ties and a loss last weekend
at the Caitlyn Cobean Silver Stick in Saugeen was not enough for the
PeeWee C Ace Country & Garden girls to advance to the finals.
They began their round robin play against the Township of Chatsworth
(TCDMHA) with a 1-1 tie. The single goal was scored by Meg
Schoonderwoerd and assisted by Jordyn Crawford. They took the second
game against Saugeen Shores 1-0, goal scored by Lauren McKay and
assisted by Cydney Weir.
The third game was a tie against St. Marys. Jaelyn Meinen was the lone scorer in the 1-1 game. Their final game against Lucan was a tough loss of 1-0 when the oppenents scored in the last 3 minutes of play. The girls are now heading into playoffs and playdowns for provincials. Go Meteors!
