In the first period Saugeen opened the scoring with a late goal slipping through after an initial stop made by Meteor Goaltender Brennan Vanderkuylen.
Mitchell answered back about 5 minutes into the 2nd with an unassisted goal by Brayden Glauser. Lots of action as Vanderkuylen pulled out all the stops protecting his net. Saugeen managed to get one by, scoring at the end of the 2nd, taking us into the third with a 1 goal deficit.
4 minutes into the 3rd period and Jarrett Vanbakel works his way into their zone and passes to Brock Boville who moves it to Andreas Harmer who sends the puck into the net and ties up the game. The fans cheer with excitement.
After a few penalty calls, and some good ol' elbow grease, Lorentz jams home the game winner with only 27 seconds left on the clock, assisted by Vanbakel and Glauser.
