Stinging Sarnia
The Atom B girls’ team beat out the higher ranked Sarnia Lady Sting over the past two weekends to advance to the second round of the LLFHL playoffs.

On February 3, the lady Meteors drew first blood in the series, walking away from Sarnia with a 5-1 victory.  Kara Rolph and Brooklyn Boville both knocked in a pair of goals, with Danielle Harmer adding a solo.  Harmer added two assists, with singles going to Rolph, Boville, and Ashley McLeod.

Back home for game two on February 10, the Meteors fell flat and dropped 3-1 to the visiting Lady Sting.  Josephine Jarmuth scored Mitchell’s lone goal, with Josie Walker assisting.

The Meteors showed up in a big way for the rubber match in Sarnia on February 11, laying a merciless 9-0 beating on the home team.  Jade Huygen paved the way with a hattrick and two assists.  Walker slapped in two goals and two assists, while Boville and Harmer each added a pair of goals.  Jarmuth benevolently doled out five assists, with Rolph feeding a single helper.   Kora Smith was resilient in maintaining the shutout.

The Meteors will face the league leading Lakeshore Lightning in the second round of the playoffs.
