The Mitchell Meteor Atom B Girls went .500 on the weekend
with a win in Stratford, a tie against Sarnia at home, and a tight loss in
Lucan.
On January 11 in Stratford, the girls won convincingly with a 4-0 victory. Josephine Jarmuth scored a pair, with Kara Rolph and Brooklyn Boville adding singles. Josie Walker and Ashley Macleod each earned a pair of assists. Allyson Vogels posted the shutout, relieving the ailing Kora Smith between the pipes.
On January 13 the girls faced off at home vs the Sarnia Lady Sting, and came away with a 2-2 tie.
Danielle Harmer and Jarmuth scored, with Heather Ogilvie, Jessie Horan and Jade Huygen assisting. Josie Walker stood on her head in net to secure the tie.
The little ladies took on Lucan on January 14, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Irish. Ashley Macleod scored from Rolph in the losing effort. Jade Huygen tended the net well vs the league leading Lucan squad.
