Miller Has 4-Point Night as Atom Reps Down Blyth-Brussels
Jack Miller recorded two goals and two assists as the Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU) Meteor Atom Reps defeated Blyth-Brussels 5-1 in exhibition play in Monkton on February 11th.

Charlie Geiger opened the scoring late in the first period, assisted by Miller and Kellen Russwurm.  Called up from the Atom AE Meteors, Jacob Dietrich would add to the lead with an unassisted marker early in the second.  Blyth-Brussels would score moments later to narrow the deficit to one again, but Ryan Hubbard would bang in a rebound in the slot late in the period from Geiger and Miller to re-establish the two-goal lead.  Miller would score his two unassisted insurance goals in the final frame, including a shorthanded breakaway.  The game was a chippy affair, with a total of 11 minor penalties handed out.
With regular goaltender Joel Meinen on vacation in the sunny south, Bryce Otten earned the start between the pipes and was steady all night when called upon.  Call-up Jonah Gibbings had a strong game on the blue line for the Meteors.
Next action for the locals is hosting the Drayton Defenders in Mitchell on Sunday February 18th at 5:45pm, in continuing WOAA first round playoff action.
