Atom Reps Add Another Tie To Record
In what is turning out to be reflective of the parity in this year's WOAA Atom Rep Division 1 loop, the YNCU Meteor Atom Reps battled to yet another draw, ending in a 1-1 score hosting the Goderich Sailors on November 22nd.
The Sailors opened the scoring in the dying seconds of the first period on a Mitchell turnover in the slot to take a 1-0 lead. With Goderich serving a kneeing penalty midway through the second, Ryan Hubbard banged in a rebound on a Colby Ryan shot from the blue line for a power play goal to tie the game. Charlie Geiger would also add an assist. The teams battled through a scoreless third period to end in a tie, the third time of the season between the two opponents.
