Atom Reps Earn Two Ties & One Loss On Busy Weekend
The YNCU Meteor Atom Reps had a busy schedule in the WOAA this past weekend with three games, ending in two ties and one loss.

The weekend began with hosting Kincardine on Friday night.  Sloppy defense quickly led to a 4-0 deficit by early in the second period, and then the Meteors finally came to life with four unanswered goals by Kellen Russwurm, Carter O'Brien, Charlie Geiger, and Ryan Hubbard on the power play.  But after coming to life, the locals lost the momentum and let the visiting Kinucks back in it, giving up three more quick goals in two minutes to finish up on the wrong side of a 7-4 score.  Assists were recorded by O'Brien, Russwurm, Jack Miller, Ryan Klumper, and Braden Hoegy.
On Saturday morning the Atoms hit the road for Goderich to take on the Sailors.  The home team scored 12 seconds into the game and again early in the second to build a 2-0 lead.  Miller would score a pair of goals, one each in the second and third periods, to salvage the 2-2 tie for the Meteors.  O'Brien and Hubbard would each assist on Miller's markers.
Game three for the weekend was hosting Saugeen Shores on Sunday afternoon in Monkton, looking to avenge a previous 1-0 road loss earlier in the season.  Mitchell came out hard off the opening faceoff, as Miller would score his fourth goal in three games, unassisted 25 seconds in.  After a scoreless second period, Saugeen roared back with two goals early in the third to take a 2-1 lead.  But with Saugeen a man down serving a hooking penalty late in the third, Hubbard set up Geiger who floated a knuckleball at the net that bounced and went in to tie the game, and things would finish up that way with a 2-2 final.
