Bouncing Back to Defeat the Warriors
On January 15th the McLaughlin's Auto Wholesaling Novice Rep team suffered a tight 2-1 loss to the Listowel Cyclones. However, the following weekend the boys bounced back as they defeated the West Gray Warriors in Durham 5-0.
Once the boys stepped onto the Durham ice it was clear that they were ready for action. The Warriors resisted well but they were unable to stop the Meteor furry. Every player stepped up their game and helped contribute to excellent scoring opportunities. Once again the depth of talent on the bench was demonstrated as the five goals were scored by four different players including Jake Richardson, Landon VanBakel, Carson Lubbers and Owen Beuermann. Special mention goes to Jake Richardson for his fast and accurate shooting ability. Once Jake gets a hold of the puck he is sure to fire a strong and effective shot which often flies past the goalie undetected. Way to go Jake!
The Novice Rep team has a busy couple days coming up as they take on Central Perth on Friday and Howick on Saturday. Each game will be at the Monkton arena so come on out to cheer them on.
