Holiday Hockey
The winter break started off on the right foot as the Novice Rep team defeated the Mount Forest Rams 5-0.  Both the forwards and the defencemen were at the top of their game sharing the goals and assists while Carter Miller took another shut-out.

With a win behind their backs the Meteors head off to the Silver Stick tournament in Ripply.  Having to face some difficult opponents the Meteors were defeated in each of their three games.  The losses didn’t hold them back as they entered the Hawk’s Cup a week later with loads of confidence.  The results were a little better as the Meteors tied the Minto Mad Dogs and the Seaforth Stars.  They lost to the Listowel Cyclones and the Twin Centre Hericanes in a couple of hard-playing games.
The holiday presented itself with an extra day off for the Meteors as the buses were canceled on the first day back to school.  Coach Randy saw this as a great opportunity to get some ice time so several Meteors from various teams enjoyed some scrimmage at the Mitchell arena.  With a practice this Wednesday, the Meteors will be ready to take on the Kincardine Kinucks this Saturday at the Mitchell arena.  Hope to see everyone out to cheer them on.
