Tight Games Against the Cyclones
With two ties and two close losses against the Listowel Cyclones, the McLaughlin's Auto Wholesaling Novice Rep team was hungry for a win this past Saturday as they hosted the Cyclones in the Mitchell arena.

The Meteors took the lead after Nate Uniac whirled an impressive wrist shot into the upper reaches of the Cyclone's net. The defencemen were strong and the forwards were fast as they continued to place pressure on their rivals. Unfortunately, the Metoeors couldn't hold on to their one-goal lead as the Cyclones tied it up with a final score of 1-1.  As they marched off the ice a sense of fortitude could be seen in the posture of the boys as they looked forward to their upcoming rematch.  "Well a tie is better than a loss but I know we can beat them next time" Austin Judge exclaimed as he packed away his equipment.
With this determination on their backs, the Meteors entered into the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex the following Monday night ready to finish what they started.  After all the oohs and ahhs regarding the new arena, the boys laced up and headed onto the ice ready to take care of business.

Once again the Meteors took the first lead in the game when Carson Lubbers one-timed a pass from Colby Faust right over the shoulder of the Cyclone's goalie.

The Meteors continued to play hard and control the puck for much of the game however, their lead slipped away as Listowel made three goals by the end of the game. Despite the loss, the boys left the arena with a bounce in their step eager and confident to face their next game against the West Gray Warriers in the Mitchell arena of Sunday, December 17th at 12:00.
