It was a much needed win for the McLaughlin's Auto Wholesaling Novice Rep team this past Sunday against the Blyth Brussels Crusaders. Once again the Meteors demonstrated their depth of talent as six players took their turn scoring a total of seven goals while Carter Miller effectively defended the net by only letting one goal get past him.
With a string of tough games weighing on their backs the Meteors were hungry for a win. Carson Brown made two goals while Jake Richardson, Nate Uniac, Austin Judge, Owen Jarmuth and Colby Faust each made one goal. With their strong offensive play, Landon VanBakel, Isaak Smith, Carson Lubbers and Owen Beuermann made several of these goals possible with timely assists.
Special mention goes to Colby Faust whose speed and timely reactions enabled him to capitalize on some loose pucks as he stepped in from the point to make several shots on net; one in which easily slid between the legs of the Crusaders' goalie. Keep up the great work Colby!
The Meteors take on the Listowel Cyclones this Saturday at the Mitchell arena and on Monday in the Steve Kerr Complex. Come out to cheer them on.
