Novice Girls HL Suffer Road Loss
The Dodge Grand Caravan Novice Girls HL team headed on the road on Jan 20th, dropping a 5-2 decision to the host St Marys Rock. The girls spotted the locals a 3-0 lead until Abigayle Van Bakel scored early in the third to get the Meteors on the board. Jayda Houben narrowly missed bringing the Meteors to within one goal, taking a draw from Van Bakel right in the slot but firing wide. St Marys scored again to restore the three-goal lead, but Van Bakel struck again with a little over two minutes remaining in the game, set up all alone in front by an Addy Wolfe pass from the blueline. St Marys would add an empty netter with a minute remaining to round out the scoring.
