Bantam Girls B & S Construction Regular Season Wrap-up
The girls ended their regular season with a complete game, offensively and defensively.

The girls had a great game against St. Thomas to wrap up their regular season. The parents were cozy, getting blasted by radiant heat, but had a relatively terrible viewing position at the end of the ice. You know it’s too hot when Mary Steel takes her winter hat off during a game.

Anyway, the girls had a fantastic end of regular season game, beating St. Thomas. Everybody played well, with coach Shane exclaiming: “See what happens when we don’t stop skating!!!”. There were a few other colourful words in there, but the author took the liberty of editing it to keep it PG-13. The girls ended up winning 5-2.

The rest of the month is not even worth talking about, with the exception of the Orillia tournament. Actually, the tournament stunk as well, but Maggie played awesome in goal. She has to be one of the most improved players this season, having had the courage to step up and try a position she’d never tried before. If she can keep up her great play, the girls will be well positioned going into playoffs and playdowns.

There were some memorable happenings from the tournament:
1. Team-building: the girls had a blast doing the "Escape Room" activity on the Friday night.
2. Skiing: What’s that you say? The girls are out and we can go skiing? That’s a silver lining!
3. Snowmobiling: You’ve heard of cars driving on beaches, maybe driving through fields? How about driving down snowmobile trails? Why not? Live a little! Thanks Jeannie, for thinking outside the box!
4. Charades: what an amazing performance from team Steel, easily crushing their opponents. Thanks to the Binns for hosting all of the mayhem.
5. The Leafs: They won both their Friday night game, and their Saturday night game.
The Flyers: Who cares...

It’s been a great year so far. Let’s hope we can keep it rolling into the playoffs!
