B & S Construction Bantam Girls Into Second Leg of Season
Second half team divisions have been set. The girls went a very impressive 5 wins, 1 loss in the first half. This record put them into the top tier of the second half of the season.
The girls finished up the first half of the season with two dominating wins.
In the first game, the girls beat West Oxford 8-2
Goals were scored by Allysa Greidanus (1), Ryley Jacobs (1), Jessica Rae (1), Faith Binns (1), Tayler McCann (3) - WOOHOO HAT TRICK and Madison McNichol (1).
In the second game, the girls beat Ilderton 10-0, with awesome shutout goal tending by the amazing Maggie Phillips.
Goals were scored by Allysa Greidanus (3) - WOOHOO HAT TRICK, Ryley Jacobs (2), Chloe Bannon (1), Jessica Rae (1) and Tayler McCann (3) - WOOHOO HAT TRICK.
In the first game of the second half, things got tougher.
The girls dropped a close one to Kent County 5-4 in a great back and forth thriller. Things looked grim at the start of the game when Kent County jumped out front 1-0 in the first couple of minutes. But, the girls held their own against tough competition.
Goals were scored by Chloe Bannon (1) and Tayler McCann (3) - WOOHOO HAT TRICK. Ok, wait a second. This is getting ridiculous - a hat trick in three consecutive games?? There's no way it can happen in the next game!
In the next game, the girls were nervous going up against the top team from the first half, the undefeated Lambeth Lancers B. How could the lowly Meteors C team beat the strong and mighty Lancers B team? ... Fairly easily was the answer!
With what had to be the best performance by our girls to date, the girls dominated the opposition (especially in the third period) beating them 5-2 and outshooting them 27-14 !!! It was a total team effort, with every girl playing their best game of the season.

In future reports, Tayler will now be referred to as "The Hat Trick Queen"
It would be greatly appreciated if the Girls could stop scoring so many goals. It would cut my time to write these reports considerably!!!
