Mitchell Meteors Girls Bantam C B&S Construction Off to a Roaring Start This Season
What a fantastic start to the season!In regular season play, the girls have a record of 3 wins, 1 loss.
They beat Sarnia 3-1, South Huron 6-3, and B.A.D. 7-3.
This most recent win against B.A.D. saw hat tricks from Ryley Jacobs and Tayler McCaan. Faith Binns picked up the lone goal.
The one loss came against St. Thomas in a hard fought game. The girls were down 3-1 in the third, and clawed their way back to 3-2. Despite intense pressure, the girls couldn’t find the equalizer. They outshot St. Thomas 23-20. In fact, the girls have consistently outshot their opponents this year, with the totals in three games being 61-46.
The girls participated in their hometown tournament the weekend of Oct 20-23. In a three game round robin, the girls won two out of three, beating Sarnia 3-1 and Walkerton 5-0. They met Mount Forrest in the finals for a second time in the tournament, but fell 5-1, taking home the silver medal.
