Bantam Boys Rep News Update...
The Mitchell Meteors Bantam Rep Team has been playing some great hockey preparing for their run at the Silverstick Regionals.

In the past few weeks the Rep boys have been practicing hard and it seems to be paying off with wins against Seaforth, Drayton, and BCH. In the game against Seaforth goals came from Declan Catalan, Evan Morrison, and Zach Mcphee,  that game ended in a 3-1 victory.  A week later they were up against Drayton who always gives them a run for their money.  The boys came out in high spirits, even though the score was 1-0 for Drayton, you could just feel that things were going to change. The boys settled in and scored four unanswered goals. With the third going scoreless the game ended 4-1 Mitchell. Goal scorers were Logan Harmer, Evan Morrison, Connor Weir and David Rowland.  On Dec 10 the boys traveled to Clinton to take on BCH.  The game started slow with the first period ending 1-0 for BCH.  In the second period we noticed some changes had been made to the line ups, and it paid off huge,  at the end of the second period the Rep boys were winning 6-1.
The move of Jason Richardson to center from defence was a good choice since he got a hat trick in the second period, other helpers came from Kase Schoonderwoerd, Caleb Tweddle, and Connor Weir. The final score was 6-2 but it was barely a game after that dominating second period.  In the post game interview Head coach James Morrison stated, "Ritchie brings a lot of energy to the game, I had to kick start our offense, so it was a natural choice to move my fire power to center,  and the best part was watching all the other players around him respond like that.  The guys really play for each other."  Well said coach!  The boys have a game Friday Dec 16, versus West Grey in Mitchell @9pm , and Sunday Dec 18 @ Seaforth 8pm.
GOOD LUCK BOYS!!
