Pee Wee AE’s Regional Silverstick Finalists
The New Orleans Pizza Pee Wee AE Mitchell Meteors lost a hard fought final Sunday afternoon in St. Clements to the Nepean Stars in the finals of the Twin Centres Regional Silverstick Tournament.  

The Meteors lost 4-1to Nappanee, a team they had defeated earlier in the tournament.   Nappanee scored late in the first period.  The goal stunned the Meteors and gave Nappanee some momentum.  The Stars scored late in the second period to make 2-0.

Mitchell finally found got some momentum going early in the third, and were rewarded with a goal by Joey Adam assisted by Cole Hannon 4 minutes into the period.  Mitchell continued to pressure Nappanee but was unable to add another goal.  Nappanee made it a 2 goal game with just under 5 minutes left and then added an empty net gaol to make it 4-1.

The New Orleans Pizza Pee Wee AE Mitchell Meteors defeated the Lincoln Blades 3-1 Saturday night in the semi-final game to earn their way into the finals.  PJ Marshall scored the hat-trick to lead the Meteors; assists went to Damen Roobroeck, Andreas Harmer, Xavier Lorenz and Jamie Feltz.  Kody Eisler earned the win in net.

The New Orleans Pizza Pee Wee AE Mitchell Meteors beat the Nappanee Stars Saturday afternoon 4-3 to win their group.    Joey Adam scored 2 goals Cole Harmer and Jack Steinbach added singles.  Damen Roobroeck and Kaiden Meinen chipped in assists.

The New Orleans Pizza Pee Wee AE Mitchell Meteors earned their first win of the tournament with 3-2 win over the Kincardine Kinucks.  Marshall, Lorenz and Roobroeck scored the goals for the team, with Feltz and Marshall adding assists.

Mitchell opened the tournament with 3-1 loss to the Tilsonburg Titans.  Marshall scored unassisted for the Meteors.  Brennan VanderKylen played well in the loss.

Logan Ruby and Evan O’Rourke played an excellent tournament on the blue line for the Meteors.
