Pee Wee AE’s make semi-final of Mitchell Pee Wee Tournament
The New Orleans Pizza Pee Wee AE Mitchell Meteors dropped a heart breaker early Sunday morning in the semi-final of the Mitchell Pee Wee Tournament.

The Meteors lost 3-2 to the Durham Crusaders in a rematch of last year’s provincial championships.  Mitchell scored to take the lead early in the first on a goal by Andrew Van Bakel with the assist going to Joey Adam.  Durham fought back to tie the game midway through the second.  The game continued back and forth with both teams getting some excellent chances and both goalies making some great saves.  Mitchell finally scored to break the tie at the 8 minute mark of the third, on a goal by Cole Hannon with assists going to Van Bakel and Adam.

It was not enough however as Durham would tie it up with just a minute and half left in the game. Then with the Meteors killing a penalty in the last minute of regulation the Crusaders were able to net the winner with only 3 seconds left on the board.   Brennan Vanderkuylen played well in the net for Mitchell as did the whole team in front of him.

The New Orleans Pizza Pee Wee AE Mitchell Meteors dropped the final game of the round robin to the Lambeth Lancers 2-0.  It was another tight hard fought game with both of Lambeth’s goals coming in the last 2 and half minutes of the game.  Kody Eisler had a great game in the Mitchell net.
