Pee Wee's win 61st Mitchell Pee Wee Tournament
The Hoegy's Farm Supply Pee Wee Reps compiled four wins and a tie in winning the 61st Annual Mitchell Pee Wee Tournament. They outscored their opponents 26 to 10 including a 6 to 0 win over league rival Listowel in the final. 

In Game one of the Tournament against Dorchester, the Pee Wees won 4 to 1. Brayden Vosper and Connor MacLean each had a goal and an assist, while Justin Morrison and Connor Lockhart also scored. Brett Poirier had two assists. Austin Weir earned the win in net while Morrison was named MVP of the game.

Game two against Midland saw the locals go up 3 to 0 after two periods with two goals by Seth Huygen and a single marker by Drew Scherbarth. Midland did not quit and replied with three goals in just over a two minute span in the third to tie the score at 3. With the man advantage, Coulter Rolph scored to put the locals up by one with 45 seconds left to play but 17 seconds later Midland scored to tie the game at 4-4. Talbot Geiger and MacLean each had two assists.

In Quarterfinal play, the Pee Wees faced off against Walkerton and won by a 5 to 1 score. Huygen and MacLean each scored twice. Evan MacArthur also scored. Huygen also had two assists as did Dawson Dietz. Maclean also chipped in with an assist. Weir again earned the win in net and MacLean was MVP of the game.

In Semi Final action against Mt. Brydges, the Pee Wees were down 2 to 1 after one period but erupted for three goals in both the second and third periods en route to a 7 to 4 win and a berth in the final. Scherbarth had the hat trick with two assists, while Huygen scored twice and had three assists. Maclean had a goal and four assists while MacArthur scored the other Mitchell goal. Weir again earned the win while Scherbarth was the game MVP.

In the final against league rival Listowel, the boys came out flying from start to finish and came away with a well deserved 6 to 0 win. The Pee Wees were up 1 to 0 after the first period on a Poirier goal. Goals by MacArthur and Huygen put the locals up 3 to 0 after two periods. In the third MacLean, Lockhart and Huygen scored to seal the win. MacLean, Lockhart and MacArthur also had two assists. Weir earned the shutout in net as well as MVP of the game.

Conner MacLean was named MVP of the tournament with 5 goals and 11 assists in five games.

Next action for the Pee Wees is this Thursday in Lucknow at the Legion Tournament.
