Pee Wee Reps win in Lucan
The Hoegy Farm Supply Pee Wee Reps won the Ken Bailey Memorial Tournament in Lucan this past weekend. After an opening loss to Ilderton the boys won four in a row to claim victory.



On Friday Afternoon the boys came out sluggish which resulted in a 4 to 1 loss to Ilderton. Connor Lockhart was the lone goal scorer.

On Saturday morning the Pee Wees regrouped and beat BCH 6 to 0. Conner MacLean scored the hat trick with Drew Scherbarth, Brett Poirier, and Dawson Dietz rounding out the scoring. Austin Weir recorded the shutout.

Later that night the boys defeated South Kent 2 to 1. The score was only 2 to 1 as the South Kent goalie kept his team in the game as most of the play was in the South Kent end. Scoring was Justin Morrison and MacLean.   

With the win the Pee Wees now had to play unbeaten Hagersville on Sunday morning in the semi finals. The boys worked hard and came away with a 4 to 1 victory. Conner Lockhart scored twice with Dietz recording a goal and an assist. Evan MacArthur scored the other goal while Seth Huygen had two assists. 

In the final against Ilderton the boys came out flying and took a 1 to lead on a Seth Huygen goal. Ilderton took the lead 2 to 1 after 2 periods buy the boys battled back in the third with goals from Huygen and MacArthur to take the lead. Huygen then scored an empty net goal with 22 seconds remaining to seal the victory.

With the win the Pee Wees record improved to 7 wins, 1 loss and 1 tie. They take on Kincardine this Thursday and St. Marys (exb game) this Friday. Both games are in Mitchell.
