The Lambton Attack were slain twice over by the Mitchell Meteors Atom HL girls on Saturday, Feb 21. The Meteors also earned a tie the following day vs a strong Lambeth Lancers squad.
The Meteors won 4-2 in the first game in Petrolia. Brooklyn Boville scored 2 goals and 2 assists, Jade Huygen added 2 goals and an assist, and Brooklyn French added two assists. Aubrey Vosper earned yet another assist with her strong head-manning of the puck from the back end.
The Meteors stepped up their game a notch and took the second game by a 5-2 score. Jade Huygen tallied a hattrick and added two assists. Brooklyn French slotted two goals and an assist, and Brooklyn Boville added a pair of assists.
In their final game of the weekend, the Meteors faced the undefeated Lambeth Lancers at home. In netminder Alyson Vogels' biggest challenge of the weekend, the Lancers and Meteors battled to a 1-1 draw. Sadie Josling scored the Meteors' lone goal, with assists added by BB and Brooklyn French.
