Kinucks top Meteors in Semis
The Thompsons Atom AE's travelled to Aylmer Sunday afternoon to play the Kincardine Kinucks in the semi-finals of the 10-team tournament. The Kinucks would take advantage of an early power play by scoring a mere 43 seconds into the contest between the two rivals.

Kincardine would keep their foot on the gas and as a result would take a 2-0 lead before the game was two minutes old. The rest of the first period would see even play at both ends of the ice but no more goals would be scored.

The Meteors would not give up as they buzzed the Kinucks goal at the start of the second period. Eventually their hard work would be rewarded on a rebound goal from Ryan Hubbard as he would slide one between the goalie's pads to cut the lead in half. Jack Miller would record the only assist on the goal. However, just over one minute later Kincardine would regain their two goal lead and there would be no more scoring in the game to make the final 3-1.

As a result of his strong skating and checking, Jaxen Hartwig would get the Meteor's game MVP.

The boys will now wind up their season on Thursday in an exhibition game at home against the St. Marys Rock.
