Atom AE's Split Two Games This Week
The Thompson's Atom AE's played the final two games of their WOAA round robin playoffs this week and came away with a win against BCH on Wednesday, and suffered a disappointing loss against Kincardine on Saturday.

The Meteors played a strong passing game against BCH on Wednesday and went ahead early in the game with a goal fired in over the goalie on a shot by Charlie Geiger. The assist on the goal went to Brandon Dietrich. The Meteors would keep up their strong and dominating play heading to the second period, but the score would remain at 1-0.

BCH would tie the game early in the third, but two minutes later Meteor's Jake Crowley would fire a bullet on net from the point, to beat the goalie putting the Meteors back in the lead. On a pass up ice from Ryan Hubbard, Ethan Meinen would carry the puck from centre ice with good speed and place a perfect top corner shot to bring the score to 3-1. BCH would answer with a second goal and would pull their goalie in the final minute in an effort to tie the game. Mitchell's Jaxen Hartwig would score not one, but two empty net goals to bring the final score to 5-2. Assisting on Hartwig's goals were Hubbard, Meinen and Jack Van Loon.

On Saturday, the Meteors travelled to Tiverton to play the Kindcardine Kinucks and started the game with a strong first period, taking control of the play and keeping the puck in Kincardine's end. They would get the lead on a goal from the stick of Charlie Geiger on a quick pass to the front of the net from the corner by Jack Miller. Mitchell would continue to play a well fought game through the second period, but Kincardine would tie the game at one after a scramble for the puck in front of the Meteor's net. This goal would light a fire with the Kinucks, and in the third period they would score five unanswered goals to take the game.
