Meteors Take Down Cyclones
The Thompsons Atom AE Meteors travelled to Listowel Saturday for an exhibition game against the Cyclones and would come away with a 5-3 win. There would be no scoring in the first period despite great pressure by the Meteors in Listowel's end with both forwards and defense getting shots on net.

The Meteors would score early in the second period as Ryan Hubbard would get his first of three goals in the game as he headed over the blue line with the puck, past the Listowel defense and would perfectly place a top shelf shot past the Cyclone's goalie.

The remainder of the scoring would take place in the third with Jack Miller scoring the second goal for Mitchell on a perfect pass in the front of the net by Charlie Geiger. Hubbard would strike again as he would carry the puck all the way from Mitchell's end past the Listowel players to beat the Cyclone's goalie. Hubbard's hat trick goal would come after Brayden Glauser would be able to pass the puck from the side of the net to Hubbard waiting in front. Glauser would round out the scoring for the Meteors as he would beat the goalie on a rebound shot into the wide open net.
The Cyclones would manage three goals for themselves in the third period as well, but the Meteors would hold onto the lead to the end with strong play and good passing to the final buzzer.
