Walkom's Valu-Mart Tyke 1 Team is Human After All
The 5 win streak was broken on Saturday morning (Dec. 10) after a hard fought back and forth battle in Brussels.
The Tyke 1 boys held a one goal margin for most of the game, but in the end came up a little short. In net, Ben Hubbard put together a performance to be remembered, making over 20 saves in the 45min contest.
Offensively the Meteors were led by Owen Jarmuth scoring a team high 4 goals with helpers coming from teammates Bryson Eickmeyer, Blake Otten, Connor Wolfe and Tyler Burtenshaw. Two other goals netted by Eickmeyer and Otten assisted by Cole Templeman and Reegan Vessie respectively.
The fans were happy to see the Meteors continue to compete right to the end narrowly missed the net on a few chances to tie it up. In the end the everyone got their money's worth and look forward to next week as the Meteors host the Ilderton Jets in Monkton. Good luck boys!
