Road win for Walkom's Valu-Mart Tyke 1
The Tyke 1 boys team travelled east to Milverton on Saturday morning (Nov. 12) picking up their 2nd victory of the season.
The boys came out flying and never gave up the lead with a balanced attack. The Meteors opened the scoring at the 40min mark with a goal from Ben Hubbard assisted by Connor Wolfe. Carter Harris and Hubbard teamed up for another assist and goal respectively to give the visitors a 2 - 0 lead.
The game could have been much closer if it wasn't for a brave performance from rookie goal tender Michael Coyne. Michael came up big on several occasions specifically turning away 3 breakaways late in the game.
Blake Otten made it 3 - 1 finding the back of the net after a perfect pass from Owen Jarmuth. Scoring his second hat-trick in as many games Hubbard scored in traffic in front of the net with the helper coming from Tyler Burtenshaw. Insurance came with 5mins remaining in the game on a pass from Cole Templeman to Owen Jarmuth. Another great team effort guys! Keep up the hard work at practice and good luck in next week's home game.
