Bantam Girls Qualify for OWHA Provincials!
The Girls clinched a spot with a convincing win against BCH.

In a format that saw 4 teams playoff for 2 spots at the Provincials, the girls were required to play each team twice for a total of six games. Our girls needed only four games to qualify.

1 - 0 win vs Milverton- Feb 21
Lone goal by Emily McFadden

2 - 0 win vs South Huron - Feb 25
One goal by Lyric Huygen, one by Faith Binns

4 - 1 win vs South Huron - Mar 3
Two goals by Ryley Jacobs, one each by Emily McFadden and Lauren Steel

3 - 1 win vs BCH - Mar 4
Two goals by Ryley Jacobs, one by Faith Binns

What has been really impressive about these games is the way the Girls have come together as a team. Their passing and playmaking abilities have greatly improved since the start of the year. The other thing to note is the strong defensive play lead by Vic Hahn in goal, and by Lauren Steel, Rachael Stephan, Jessica Rae, and Elysha Vorstenbosch on defense. The Girls have only given up two goals in the last four games.

The Girls will finish the 6 game series by early next week, then will try to arrange some exhibition games to fill out March as a warm up to the Provincials in Toronto April 7 - 10.
