UGH! That Royals Goalie is Tough to Beat
The girls come out of this past weekend with a tie and a loss to the Royals.

On Friday, the girls posted a 1 all tie with the Royals. Faith B. scored a beauty of a goal to tie the game in the second period. This came soon after the Royals pulled ahead with a power play marker.

In a rematch on Sunday, the girls got out to a relatively early 1-0 lead with a goal by Ryley J. that beat the goalie along the ice, between the pads. Her Father exclaimed that it was a "FAN590" type goal, where, despite fanning on the puck, it managed to sneak in. Unfortunately, Milverton scored in the second, then pulled ahead in the third with a mad scramble type goal. The refs appeared to waffle in making the call, as it was difficult to see if the puck had actually crossed the line.
The Meteors had tons of chances to score, and clearly outplayed their opponent, but just couldn't beat their goalie.

The girls will wrap up their regular season this coming Friday against Sarnia.
