Battle with BCH #2
Last night that Scotiabank Bantam LL team traveled to Clinton to take on rivals BCH #2.  We all knew this game would be intense as we have had some pretty good battles so far this year!

The boys seemed ready to play as the faceoff was set and puck was in play, game on!  With battles for puck procession during this opening period, Karsen Eisler would score unassisted to put the good boys on the board first.  A few minutes later Jarrett Ramseyer would add to our lead from help from team mates, Karsen Eisler and Anthony Beuerman.  Way to go boys! First period would end with us leading 2-0.

Second period started and BCH fought back to score back to back goals to even the game on their power plays but with the determination of our Meteors, Eric Dearing would net one this time with help from line mate Anthony Beuerman.  Whew, once again we would hold the slim lead.  This would be all the scoring during this middle period.    Tonight, Brent Smith played out as a forward and had a great game with a few great chances to score.  Good job Brent!

With the start of the third period looming and our boys always seem to take a few minutes to get going again after their break, BCH would again tie the game 3-3 getting the puck past our goalie Steve Daum.  So far this game, Steve had made some great saves to keep the game so close.  With a reset at centre our tough and gritty Meteors knew what they needed to do to get the win; they kept their feet moving and would find themselves regaining the lead once again off the hot stick of Karsen Eisler and Ben Small.  Awesome, let’s keep this momentum going till the end of the game. With just over five minutes left in the game, Zach McPhee let the shot go from the point and caught their goalie off guard to score.  Karsen Eisler would earn another assist on the night.  Clock counted down and the game was over, the boys won 5-3.

Great team effort boys in this tough game, you boys certainly deserved the win!

The boys now get ready for their rematch games against Wingham tonight and Goderich tomorrow night.  Go get them boys!
