Jacobi Division Consolation Finalists
The Dodge Caravan AE Novices wrapped up their season with the deciding game series against the Bruce Peninsula Northstars in the Jacobi Division Consolation Finals.

After starting the series down one game by falling 9-1 to the Northstars last Monday night on home ice, the Meteors travelled up North to play a double-header series finale game in Desboro, on Saturday afternoon.

Mitchell came out looking to force a game three and opened the scoring with a goal from Wade Campbell in the first period.  However Bruce Peninsula would add three goals of their own leaving Mitchell trailing 3-1 heading into the third.  In a dramatic turn of events, Mitchell's Jacob Dietrich carried the puck up and tapped it in to bring the Meteors within one goal of tying the game up.  Ethan Jarmuth would then net a shot of his own, less than a minute after Dietrich's goal, tying the game up, and leaving both teams fans anxiously holding their breathe.  The Northstars then had a penalty with 4 minutes to go, giving  the Meteors a 5 on 4 advantage, which was all Ryan Klumper needed to fire a shot into the net to give the Meteors the go-ahead goal for the game.  Keagan Meinen stood on his head in net during the final minutes of the game with a 4-3 win, to send the series into the third and deciding game later that afternoon.

However
, in the second game  of the double-header, the Meteors were unable to carry their momentum that they were able to build in the final period of the day's first game, and fell 10-2, leaving them in the respectable runner-up position in the Consolation finals.  Mitchell's goals came from Bradley Dearing and Ethan Jarmuth in the loss.

Congratulations to the team on a well-played 2015/2016 season!
