Meteors Take On Cyclones In Exhibition Play
An edge-of-your-seat exhibition match-up between the Listowel Jr. Cyclones, and the Dodge Caravan AE Novices on February 13th, saw the Meteors come out victorious for a 3-2 win, that went down to the final wire.

From the minute the puck was dropped, both teams came out skating hard and fast, providing both teams fans with something to cheer about.  The Cyclones would clear the puck in into the Meteors end, only to have the puck returned into their own zone minutes later.  The first period looked like it would end scoreless, until with 1:20 to go, Ryan Klumper would pick up the puck along the boards at the blue line in Listowel's end, deek his way through centre ice and send the puck ratting off the back of the netting, breaking the draw heading into the second.

The second period would remain scoreless, as Jack Van Loon, and Bradley Dearing on defense did a great job blocking Listowel's forwards chances. Keagan Meinen, and the Cyclones goal minders made several trapper side saves look effortless, with several shots coming from the line of Ethan Jarmuth, Max Hannon & Wade Campbell, as well as a chance by Jacob Dietrich, keeping the game at 1-0 heading into the third.

In the final period, Listowel would tie up the game at 7:27.  Mitchell would retaliate at 4:48, when Ryan Glauser won the draw during a face-off deep in Listowel's end, and sent the puck over to Klumper, who passed to linemate Logan Verberne, for Mitchell's second goal of the game.  A penalty for the Meteors at 1:57 provided an opportunity for Listowel to tie things up, until 30 seconds later, when Klumper would get his second goal of the game, from a pass from Payton Wood, to break the draw.  Braden Hogey and Elijah Bender stood tall on the blue line holding Listowel off, and helping to secure the Meteors 3-2 win.

The Dodge Caravan AE Novices are gearing up to head into play-offs, and are looking to carry their momentum forward, in what should be very exciting hockey action!
